Parmesan Crisps
Ingredients
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional additional seasonings:
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese with any additional seasonings you desire, such as garlic powder, dried oregano, or black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
Spoon small mounds of the Parmesan mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each mound. Use about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture per crisp.
Gently press down on each mound of cheese with the back of the spoon to flatten it slightly.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the Parmesan crisps are golden brown and bubbly.
Keep a close eye on them while baking, as they can go from golden to burned quickly.
Once the Parmesan crisps are done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the crisps cool for a few minutes on the sheet. They will continue to firm up as they cool.
Carefully transfer the Parmesan crisps to a wire rack or a plate lined with paper towels to cool completely and become even crispier.
Repeat the process with the remaining Parmesan cheese mixture until all the crisps are baked.
These Parmesan crisps are a delightful low-carb snack or can be used as a crunchy topping for salads or soups. Enjoy their savory, cheesy flavor and crispy texture!
