Parmesan Crisps

Parmesan Crisps

Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional additional seasonings:

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese with any additional seasonings you desire, such as garlic powder, dried oregano, or black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.

  • Spoon small mounds of the Parmesan mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each mound. Use about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture per crisp.

  • Gently press down on each mound of cheese with the back of the spoon to flatten it slightly.

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the Parmesan crisps are golden brown and bubbly.

  • Keep a close eye on them while baking, as they can go from golden to burned quickly.

  • Once the Parmesan crisps are done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the crisps cool for a few minutes on the sheet. They will continue to firm up as they cool.

  • Carefully transfer the Parmesan crisps to a wire rack or a plate lined with paper towels to cool completely and become even crispier.

  • Repeat the process with the remaining Parmesan cheese mixture until all the crisps are baked.

These Parmesan crisps are a delightful low-carb snack or can be used as a crunchy topping for salads or soups. Enjoy their savory, cheesy flavor and crispy texture!
