Here are a few things that I use

Glucose Tablets

When you have diabetes, we always try to have our blood sugar around 100 mg/dL. Unfortunately, sometimes the blood sugar drops below that target range and goes down to hypoglycemia, which is technically below 70 mg/dL. To bring the blood sugar back to the target of around 100 mg/dL, we need to eat carbohydrates; this is where glucose tablets are a great help.

Low-Carb Cookies

You can find many low-carb recipes on my website, but sometimes I would like a simple low-carb cookie. Here is one that I love. They are also great during the day at the office or when you travel.

Travel Cooler

Whether it is a short trip or a longer vacation, we need to keep insulin at a low temperature. The target is to keep it at the temperature of a fridge. Travel coolers help you with that. I personally use the one here because it is really very effective.

Cooking Scale

With diabetes, we need to know how many grams of carbohydrates we eat. Especially at the beginning, a scale is essential to know exactly how much bread, an apple, etc., weighs. Here is a scale that is simple but helpful.

Diabetes Necklace

If you ever feel dizzy or out of control, or if anything happens to you, it is crucial that people and medics know you have diabetes. This necklace helps to show this quickly.

Test Strips

I use a continuous glucose meter (CGM), but I use a finger stick when the blood sugar changes quickly. The reason is that CGMs have a time lag because they use interstitial fluid, and the blood glucose monitor measures glucose in the actual blood. There are many different glucose monitors on the market, and I use the OneTouch system.

Moisturizing Lotion

People with diabetes tend to have drier skin and should use lotion to avoid that. I have used CeraVe for many years, and I am happy with the product.

Dexcom CGM Patch

If you have a Dexcom like me, you know that it is sometimes difficult that it stays on for the whole time of the sensor life. CGM patches help with that.

Safe Needle Disposer

When you have diabetes, you also have sharp objectives like needles or lancets for testing your blood sugar. This is Amazon’s #1 top seller for safe disposal.
